Another round for this here blog. My week was full. Busy with life, busy with work. Also busy with crashing on the couch at 8:45PM. Winter...pssshhhh. As much as I love it, it kills me. It's like a bad relationship I love to love.
Last Friday I hopped on a GO train to make my way to Barrie, only to find that 20 minutes into our trip we had to turn back around to Union because of operational issues. We had to wait on the tracks for half an hour before we turned back, and as we were sitting there, people started to flood the doors. Just to stand there and crowd everyone. WHY? WHHHHYYYYYY? Why are you so stupid that you feel the need to do this? What is this making better?
Anyway, long story short, I should have been in Barrie by 5:20PM and instead didn't get there until almost 7PM.
I was not impressed.
It's ok though. Chrissy and I tackled two bottles of wine as soon as I got there and needless to say, we were victorious. Well, not the next morning, but whatever.
We were still able-bodied enough to schlep and get the tree decorated.
And Chrissy's kids were as cute as ever. She has stockings on her feet. What a ham.
Dave came over to Chrissy's on Saturday night (for a dinner party she had planned and also to take me home afterwards). We drove home in fog and gross rain, but made it in one piece. It was an excellent dinner party.
Picked up a couple of things from Ikea this week as well. Like this wine rack.
And this pot rack, which I have only been talking about for YEARS. Finally, it is mine.
I had to make my way to the Eaton Centre twice in the past week for work, to pick stuff up from the Apple Store. I couldn't get over how busy that place was in the middle of the day on a Monday. But I got to see the tree!
As much as life can be nuts sometimes, coming home to this every night makes everything worthwhile.
And life is good.
