I don't know about you guys, but I am tired today. I work for a busy orthodontist which means office hours that are different every day. Tuesday night we work late, and Wednesday morning we work early, so the transition kind of sucks! Which makes me daydream about my bed all day Wednesday. Today I wanted to show you guys some of my favorite bedroom decor ideas that are guaranteed to make me want to stay in bed forever.

It is so hot here right now. Like stupidly hot. It is 33C right now, but feels more like 40C, and Toronto is under an extreme heat warning. Naturally, I am dreaming VERY HARD about cooler weather (quiet you summer lovers! I am a winter girl! Plus, this is not a comfortable temperature, I don't care who you are).

I don't want to rush the summer because I do like all seasons, but I can't help but think about all those cute Fall outfits that lie ahead. And every cozy Fall outfit needs a great pair of shoes to go along with it. Here are my top 5 wants this year.

The tiny house trend has been on my (and I am sure everyone else's) radar now for a couple of years, and it is certainly gaining momentum. I have always been more comfortable in smaller spaces, and even would choose the smallest room whenever we moved into a new house. I love being cozy. It is something I strive for on a daily basis, what with the regular clothes coming off before I even get in the door (I'm kidding), and the makeup wipes doing their thang 10 seconds after I am home (if I am not being lazy that is. Ladies and gents, y'all know how it is). But when is small too small? Could you happily live in any of these tiny homes?

This 335-square-foot bachelor is small, but so pretty! I would love something like this (if I was single that is). But this smart lady only pays $950 a month for all of her expenses: mortgage, condo fees, internet, a parking spot, home insurance etc. Sigh...that alone makes me jealous. Click here for more pictures. I do love this tiny home and could be very happy in a place like this!

After gathering and posting all of these pictures from around the web, I realized that they are all Autumn themed (with only one Christmas-y picture surprisingly!), and quite cozy. Today has been very dark and dreary, and raining heavily, so I guess I am feeling the desire to be snug and tucked in somewhere. Plus, its freaking hot and muggy out, so enjoy the cooler season pics!

It's no secret that I love exploring abandoned places. Just do a search on this blog of the word 'abandoned' and a list of many of the places I've been in will pop up (seriously so much creep factor).

But what about all the places I would LOVE to explore, but most likely won't ever be able to? This is my top ten list of all of those places:

1. Pripyat-Ukraine

Hello my dear sweet love nuts! I am alive! Man, what a crazy three months it has been...and no, not the fun kind of crazy. I got some sort of lung infection sickness thing in January along with a cold that lasted for a month and a half, and then I got a really bad sinus infection. Haha. Oh dear. So I have been out of commission sort of, but working at the same time.

This time of year makes me want to clean and air things out, and do all those kinds of domestic things, except for tonight. Tonight there is a big storm coming and I am just hoping I make it home before the subway decides to turn to shit. So until I find something interesting to write about here, lets take a look at March posts from Pandorah's Box, through the years.

I thought that since it is going to be STINKING hot here all weekend in Toronto, it would be helpful (and necessary) to make a list of all the ways you can stay cool this summer.

1. Drink plenty of water - whether it's cold or warm, water will drop your body temperature a little bit and will keep you hydrated. Very important when the heat is sucking you dry!

2. Air conditioning - If you can, stay in a home that has air conditioning. No need to go outside if you don't have to! Try to plan ahead on super hot days: buy your groceries the day before, make plans that consist of being indoors, and sit back to enjoy the cool, delicious air.

3. Popsicles - I love popsicles all year round, but they are a staple in the summer heat! Stock up on the sticky treats so that you aren't left wanting when the heat gets the better of you.

4. Visit the pool or the beach - If you have access to either one, go for it! The water will cool you down and make you forget that you are a sweaty beast. Just don't forget your sunscreen!

5. Wear light clothing - nobody wants their clothes to stick to them. So wear fabrics that won't, and wear things that are loose. Your hot bod will thank you for it.

6. Indulge in a cold drink - why not? You deserve it today. Just make sure to chase it with plenty of water...the sugar in soda can dehydrate you more!

7. Stay in the shade - if you have to go outside, do your best to stay in the shade. It is a few degrees cooler there, and hopefully you won't bake to death anyway.

8. Take a nap - naked. With arms and legs splayed so that nothing is touching. Try and time it so that you take a nap during the hottest part of the day...with any luck, you will sleep right through it!

9. Eat light - salads and fruits are your go-to when the weather is hot. Eating heavily will only make you feel sick, so stick to the light fare.

10. Take a cold shower - when all else fails, hop into a cold shower. It will immediately cool you off, and afterwards if you move very little, you can hold onto the coolness for a little while.

And there you have it! Those are all the things that I try to do on those stupidly hot days! I hope that this helped even a little bit, because lord knows it sucks being hot when you don't want to be.

I hope you guys enjoy your weekend! I'll be hanging out with John tomorrow in his air-conditioned house, drinking wine. Maybe I'll throw in some ice cubes, you know, to stay cool.

Enjoy!

In homage to the upcoming spooky holiday, I wanted to list MY favourite movies that I love watching at this time of year:

1. Anything Harry Potter- now I know these aren't Halloween specific, but come on...it's Harry Potter.

2. Hocus Pocus- classic.  I have always wanted to be Sarah Jessica Parker in this movie. Well, except for the dumbness.

3. The Conjuring- This movie didn't get the best reception, but I saw it at the drive in and really liked it. So much that I watched it twice.

The Nightmare Before Christmas- Christmas? Halloween? How about both!

Casper- another classic in my book. I watched the cartoon when I was a kid, and I love this movie. Devon Sawa anyone? I thought he was so cute back then.

Devon now. Hmm.

Ju-on (The Grudge)- the first time I saw this movie I almost pooped my pants.

Ringu (The Ring)- pants pooping also was prevalent here.

The Birds- an actual classic. I saw this movie when I was a kid and loved it. There's no music in this movie, which is crazy! Music creates the mood, but this movie was still scary without any.

The Exorcist- I tried to watch this when I was 9 and got to the part where she pees on the rug and I was done. Too scary. Obviously I saw it after that, even in the theater when it was remastered!

The Orphanage- Super creepy. I loved this movie so so much. Check it out if you love creepiness!

What movies do you like to watch this time of year? Let me know in the comments!

So, we didn't have the greatest Summer weather-wise. It wasn't very hot (which was fine with me), but we didn't really get to experience those beautiful Summer days that I love either.

I did make a Summer to-do list here, and we did do quite a few of the things on that list! Here are the Summer loving things we got to cross off our list:

We went canoeing:

We went to Toronto Island:

We went to Ripley's Aquarium:

We went for a mini hike:

And finally, we went to Sauble Beach:

A couple things of note:

We bought a car!!

See me learning how to drive here:

I got a new job at a mobile game publishing company and I love it!

And that is it! It was a pretty good summer all in all, not the best, but not the worst! I am looking forward to the cooler Fall weather to hit (finally) so that my allergies can go away a bit.

What fun things did you do this summer?
